Dr. Sushil Kotru was born in Kashmir and overcame early challenges to pursue his passion for medicine. After excelling in MBBS and MD in Medicine, he earned a prestigious PG Diploma and Masters in Endocrinology from the University of South Wales, UK — making him a globally-trained specialist.
He completed his Fellowship in Diabetes at CMC Vellore — one of India's most prestigious medical institutions — and a specialised Fellowship in Diabetic Foot Management (FDFM) and Fellowship in Podiatry & Diabetic Foot Care. This unique combination makes him one of few doctors with end-to-end expertise in diabetes and its complications.
Dr. Kotru pioneered Punjab's first Diabetes Footcare Clinic at Adesh Institute, Bathinda, where he also served as Assistant Professor and established the Diabetes & Obesity Care Unit.
